Exclusive: Rapper Shawty Lo “NOT” Arrested

Shawty Lo new video

While in the midst, of what positivly has become one of the most controversial on again/off again reality shows of the season. G-Unit rapper Shawty Lo, has fallen victim to a frenzy of absolute rubbish within the blogs, circulating on the world wide web. While no “real” news media, has picked up the bogus headline. A small time blogger, saw a picture that was posted via twiter, of what is called a “scene”, on the set of Lo’s new video shoot, for his song Petition. Not one single blogger, who had posted the ridiculous story, bothered to fact check, or reached out to validate the claims that Shawty had been arrested. Instead they all just ran with it . Exclusively and officially I am announcing that Shawty Lo was NOT arrested at any mall, nor has he fallen behind on his supporting his children. While lawyers are quickly urging Shawty Lo to sue the bloggers for libel, it is unclear if he will at this point. Just goes to show you, people believe anything they see and read on the internet today.

Rush Limbaugh Defends Shawty Lo’s All My Babies Mamas Reality Show

As the saga continues behind Shawty Lo‘s currently nixed struggle show All My Babies‘ Mamas, the Atlanta native is finding support in Rush Limbaugh. The conservative pundit has come to Lo’s defense, while attacking the Oxygen Network for pulling the plug on the show, All Hip Hop reports. “The morality police, the old fuddy-duddies got in gear,” Limbaugh said of the public outcry over Lo, his truckload of offspring, and their mothers, have received  “The show was simply gonna’ show what it is in terms of this lifestyle and just gonna’ tell everybody what it is. “Is it any wonder that the star of a show that happens to be Black and has the show pulled out from under him? Well I know none of these kids are more important than the president’s kids, but they’re important to Shawty.” Whatever that even means.

An online petition was started calling for Oxygen to end the show ahead of its actual premiere date. It has been seen as contributing to negative depictions of Black people on reality TV in that All My Babies’ Mamas may inadvertently glorify a stereotype within the community. Oxygen opted not to continue with the show after they “reviewed casting” of the program, but vowed to continue “to develop compelling content that resonates” that “drives the cultural conversation” among their female viewers. Lo has since started his own (ridiculous) petition begging that Oxygen re-think their decision on grounds that the show is essentially keeping his 11 children off welfare. Apparently he’s never heard of getting a real job, rather than depending on reality TV cameras to put food in his children’s mouths.

Oxygen Officially Cancels Shawty Lo’s Reality Show “All My Babies’ Mamas”

Shawty Lo‘s controversial reality show All My Babies’ Mamas has reportedly been canceled before it even had a shot on TV. According to The Daily Beast, Oxygen has supposedly responded to the backlash to the show, which focuses on the rapper and his 11 kids by 10 different mothers. Though the network is yet to confirm the cancelation, the publication claims that sources have revealed it “won’t ever see the light of day.” A trailer for the show originally leaked to the Internet at the end of 2012. Organizers made a petition that reached almost 40,000 signatures, most likely a contribution to the alleged cancelation.

UPDATE: AllHipHop.com has received a statement from Oxygen denying that the show had been canceled. “This rumor is simply untrue. The project remains in early development,” said an Oxygen rep.

UPDATE #2: Contrary to AHH’s previous report, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Oxygen has indeed canceled Shawty Lo’s All My Babies’ Mamas.

“As part of our development process, we have reviewed casting and decided not to move forward with the special. We will continue to develop compelling content that resonates with our young female viewers and drives the cultural conversation,” said an Oxygen rep. via:hiphopdx

Shawty Lo Gets Another Woman Pregnant

Shawty Lo either really, really loves children or really, really hates rubbers. Either way, he’s reportedly impregnated another woman. The Atlanta native’s ex-girlfriend is with child, and rumor has it that he’s the father.

From Vlad TV:

Shawty Lo has been criticized recently after it was announced that his upcoming reality TV show, “All My Babies‘ Mamas”, will air on the Oxygen channel.  He has around 10 baby mamas, and while it hasn’t been confirmed by Shawty Lo just yet, it appears as though he’ll be adding one more baby mama to that list as a source reported to TheYBF.com that he is the father.  His ex-girlfriend Jai Jai posted a picture of her pregnant belly on Instagram.

Check out the picture above.  How do you feel about Shawty Lo having so many baby mamas?

Once news of his reality show All My Babies Mamas was revealed, an epic backlash ensued. A woman in New York  started an online petition amassing more than 10,000 signatures to get the show taken off the air—before it even premieres. Oxygen, the network which picked up the show, is said to be standing behind the reality series which features Lo his 10 babyies mothers, and their offspring. “You can hate all you want to, I didn’t ask for it. It just happened,” he said in a response to the uproar. “If I wasn’t taking care of my kids then you would really dog me out, but I’m taking care of my kids, providing for my family. I don’t know what else to say.” He hasn’t confirmed if the child is his, but if so, the reality TV producers will probably love this new development. via:hiphopwired
