Sources Confirm Beyoncé Is Pregnant, Again

Blue Ivy is going to be a big sister sometime next year. Reportedly, Beyoncé is pregnant with her second child by husband Jay-Z. E! reports that multiple source have confirmed that the “Put A Ring On It” singer is expecting. Speculation on whether or not Beyoncé had another bun in the oven started running rampant when she showed up to the Met Gala in a Givenchy gown whose design concealed his midsection. The chatter increased exponentially when she postponed a show in Antwerp, part of her Mrs. Carter World Tour, due to exhaustion and dehydration. She did apologize to fans for having to postpone the show, then during the next night’s performance revealed that she was doing so against her doctor’s orders. Neither Beyoncé nor Jay-Z’s representatives have confirmed if they are really expecting. Having a new baby will certainly make promotion of her forthcoming new album very interesting. Nevertheless, congrats to Beyoncé and Jay-Z!

Back in March, Beyoncé was unveiled as the face of H&M‘s summer collection. The R&B and Pop diva’s  The Mrs. Carter Show world tour kicking off today in Belgrade, Serbia, more photos from the collection have been unveiled.  Lately, Beyoncé and her buddy have been all over the news thanks to decided to visit Cuba for their fifth wedding anniversary. The “Put A Ring On It” singer also recently dropped a Pepsi commercial, which features a Timbaland produced song called “Grown Woman” from her forthcoming album, as part of the beverage company’s “Live For Now” campaign. Also, she is one of the headliners, along with Nine Inch Nails, for the 2013 Made In America festival that goes down in Philadelphia over Labor Day weekend. As for the H&M campaign, the photos were shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in the Bahamas. The tropical inspired collection hits H&M stores in May. “I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements — fire, water, earth and wind,” said Beyoncé in a press statement. “It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. Jay-Z, Beyoncé May Be Investigated for Cuba Trip [Video]

Jay-Z and Beyoncé made a highly publicized trip to Cuba for their fifth wedding anniversary, and now two Republicans are demanding that the Obama administration investigate the couple, reports ThinkProgress.

Former House Foreign Affairs Committee chairwoman Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) and her colleague Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart sent a letter to the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control on Friday, calling for an investigation into whether any laws were broken during the celebrities’ trip:

We write to express concern and to request information regarding the highly publicized trip by U.S. musicians Beyoncé Knowles-Carter (Beyoncé) and Shawn Carter (Jay-Z) to Cuba.We would like to respectfully request, within all applicable rules and guidelines, information regarding the type of license that Beyoncé and Jay-Z received, for what purpose, and who approved such travel …

Cuba’s tourism industry is wholly state-controlled; therefore, U.S. dollars spent on Cuban tourism directly fund the machinery of oppression that brutally represses the Cuban people. Despite the clear prohibition against tourism in Cuba, numerous press reports described the couple’s trip as tourism, and the Castro regime touted it as such in its propaganda. Beyonce and Jay-Z did recently travel to Cuba for their fifth anniversary, a move that hasupset many in the Cuban-American community.

As you diehard Jay-Z and Beyoncé stans probably know, today (April 4) is the happy power Hip-Hop couple’s 5-year wedding anniversary. The two money makers were spotted in Cuba celebrating.

..the happy couple were enjoying Havana, Cuba. The two celebrated their anniversary basking in the sun, surrounded by tourists. And we’ve spotted Bey in braids! We’re loving her printed mini dress and comfy oxfords! 

According to the AP:

Beyonce and Jay-Z are causing a big stir in Havana, where they are celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary. The music power couple was mobbed by dozens of fans at the renowned restaurant La Guarida on Wednesday night, and police had to step in to keep the crowds at bay. Waitress Silvia Fernandez said they dined with their mothers and another man she couldn’t identify. She called Beyonce “beautiful, without a drop of makeup.” On Thursday they toured colonial Old Havana and popped into another restaurant that boasts a magnificent rooftop terrace with a sweeping view of the harbor.
They declined to speak to reporters, and it was not clear why they traveled to Cuba.

Today has been a relatively busy one for the Carters. This morning, Beyoncé dropped a new Pepsi spot for the beverage company’s ”Live For Now” campaign. Titled “Mirrors,” the commercial also serves as a preview of a Timbaland-produced song called “Grown Woman” that will be included on her forthcoming album. As for Jay-Z, the tracklist of the upcoming The Great Gatsby soundtrack, which he executive produced, was revealed today. The first track on the album is an all new song from the Brooklyn rapper titled “100$ Bill.” The album also features a duet between Beyoncé and André 3000; a cover of Amy Winehouse cover “Back to Black”).

Beyoncé’s Album ‘Mrs Carter’ Pushed Back

Well rumors are swirling that Beyoncé long awaited new album may be pushed back to the fall. According to music industry insiders there is concern surrounding the two singles she has released. According to Virgin Radio reports:

While Beyoncé’s Mrs. Carter album was initially given an April 16th release date, the project is now being pushed back because her promotional songs have flopped. A source from Sony has said of “Bow Down” and “I Been On”, “No one thought that both records would fall flat. They were supposed to be her biggest two songs off the album.” The source adds that Beyonce is starting fresh and will not release a single or an album before she goes on tour next month. The insider said, “It’s back to the drawing board. More promo songs will be released, until she gets a hit song that everyone will embrace.”

Rush Limbaugh Throws Shots At Beyoncé Over “Bow Down”

Conservative talk show host (and apparent women’s issues expert) Rush Limbaugh once again used his highly-visible platform to speak out of turn. This time the controversial blowhard aimed his attention on Beyoncé‘s latest single “Bow Down/I Been On,” saying the song diminishes her ability to empower women and claims she’s submitting to husband Jay-Z. The New York Daily News reports that yesterday (March 20) on The Rush Limbaugh Show, the host was inspired by an article from the UK’s Telegraph and its criticism of Beyoncé’s track. Agreeing with the writer, who says the Houston native’s song is a blow to feminism, the 62-year-old Limbaugh launched into a rant in an attempt to check the singer. “[Destiny's Child] songs were attempts to inspire young women not to take any grief from men. She’s done a 180,” said Limbaugh. “Beyoncé, now having been married, having been impregnated and giving birth to Blue Ivy. She’s got a new song, ‘Bow, Down B-tches’… Beyoncé is now saying, ‘Go ahead and put up with it!’ Limbaugh continued his critique of the track saying, “You know why? I’ll tell you why. Because she married a rich guy. She’s even calling herself Mrs. Carter on the tour…She has shelved Beyoncé. She now understands it’s worth it to bow down.” Limbaugh wasn’t the only high profile person to catch feelings over the record, as R&B singer Keyshia Cole took to Twitter to voice her displeasure for the single and caught the online fade.

Michelle Obama Taps Beyoncé To Perform At 50th Birthday Party

Michelle Obama doesn’t turn 50 until next year but she’s locking down the guest list early. The first lady has tapped Beyoncé as one of the performers at the bash. According to an unnamed source, Bey will take the stage in honor of Mrs. Obama, as will Adele. However, the information has yet to be confirmed.

An unnamed (and potentially questionable) source told the UK’s Daily Mail that the first lady has asked Beyonce and Adele to perform at her party. “America’s first lady will be holding a huge celebrity-packed party for her birthday at the White House next year and, as she adores Adele and Beyoncé, she has asked them both to sing,” an unnamed source told The Daily Mail. “Adele has graciously accepted and waived her usual fee for the high-profile private performance. She will sing a selection of her most-loved hits for the first lady and her friends.” Beyoncé has a long-standing relationship with the Obamas. The singer famously performed at President Obama’s inauguration earlier this year, and, along with her husband Jay-Z, was a major supporter of Obama during his run for presidency and reelection. Beyoncé also wrote the first lady a birthday card earlier this year for her 49th. “Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that [you] do for us,” Beyoncé wrote. “I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to.”

Even without official confirmation, there’s a good chance that it just might happen. Mrs.Obama has gushed about Mrs. Carter on more than one occasion. “If I had some gift, I’d be Beyoncé,” she said in an interview last year. “I’d be some great singer. The power of music, being able to play an instrument … It looks like musicians just have the most fun.” Mrs. Obama turns 50 on January 17, 2014.
