Two people in Tampa FL were shot outside Whiskey Park North Bar in Carrollwood early Sunday morning as hundreds of bar patrons were leaving at closing, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. At about 3 a.m., a fight broke out between two groups of men in the parking lot, at 11921 North Dale Mabry Hwy., a sheriff’s report said. Then one man produced a gun and shot at another group of men several feet away as they headed to their car. The men took cover behind their Mercedes-Benz CLS 550 AMG, which was hit by most of the bullets, the report said. Another vehicle also was hit in the exchange of gunfire. One man from each group shooting at each other suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the report said. The two men were taken to a hospital for treatment. The scene was described as very chaotic as hundreds of bar patrons sought safety by either running down Dale Mabry or going back inside the bar, the report said. Detectives continue to track down leads on suspects, as the investigation continues.
