kobe-vs-lebron-all-star-game-2013

The Eastern Conference All-Stars couldn’t get Michael Jordan a W for his birthday. For the third year in a row the Western Conference defeated the East  143 to 138 for another year of bragging rights. L.A. Clippers point guard Chris Paul was named All-Star MVP notching 20 points, 15 assists and 4 steals. He is the first L.A. Clipper to be named All-Star MVP. Carmelo Anthony of the Knicks lead the East squad with 26 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists. In a game where defense is usually an afterthought Kobe Bryant smothered LeBron James  in the fourth quarter, swatting one of his shots. James finished with 19 Points. Given the way the Lakers are playing it’s more than likely the last time Kobe will see LeBron face-to-face in a game this year. It was also a going away party for NBA commissioner David Stern, who is retiring at the end of this season.
