Keyshia Cole Throws Shots At Beyoncé

Did Keyshia Cole Throw Shade at Beyonce's New Song?

Keyshia Cole is clearly not a fan of Beyoncé‘s new “Bow Down / I Been On.” The R&B crooner took Beyoncé to task for the message in her new song via Twitter, which of course opened the flood gates of slander. Yesterday, Beyoncé dropped a playful new song where she declares “Bow down b-tches” in the lyrics. Although she doesn’t name names, it seems like Cole took offense. ”Can’t stand when people all self righteous when it’s convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk sh-t when convenient 2 FOH,” tweeted Cole. “I  done kept it real from the start! #RespectTHAT.” She continued, “First “Women need to Stick together” now bitches better Bow. Smh. But it’s all G! Chicks stay shooting the sh-t. But when I speak my mind its a prob. #Well #StayMad.” The Beyoncé stans came out the woodwork thanks Cole having the audacity to question the musings of the Queen. The “Let It Go” singer has even started RT‘ing some of the more volatile name calling aimed in her direction. Worth noting, about a half hour after that first Tweeted aimed at Hova‘s wife, Cole announced that she would be appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight at 11:30pm ET. Coincidence?

New EP: J.Cole Truly Yours

truly yours-cover

Jermaine has a stash of recordings. Today, he decides to give out five tracks that will not make the final cut for his upcoming album, Born Sinner. Says Cole:

It’s time. I appreciate you giving me the time I needed to grow, experiment, and find the direction for my 2nd album. And I have. Along the way I’ve recorded at least 4 albums worth of material, lots of it being unfinished demo versions waiting to be polished up, some of them are great songs and important stories that just won’t make the album (either they don’t fit Sonically, don’t fit Theme, or there’s just not enough space) . Tonight, I want to give you a few of these songs because you deserve them. It’s hard as fuck for me to keep all this music from you for so long, so I know it’s been hard for you to wait. Thank you for your patience. Vibe out to these songs in their raw form, no polish.. just a lot of my soul.. The wait is over.

Truly Yours,

Born Sinner

PS- 1st single coming this week. The album is hands down my best work yet. Can’t wait to share.

Keyshia Cole Blasts 106 KMEL For Making Her Open For The Weeknd

Keyshia Cole is not happy with the disrespect that she feels was thrown to her by 106 KMEL. The Bay Area radio station just happens to count OaklandCole’s hometown— as its demo, but bumped the singer to second place on their Holiday House of Soul roster in lieu of headliner, The Weeknd. Cole allegedly pulled out of the show, then went on Twitter to set the record straight. “EVERY F**KING YEAR I do something major for my city! @KMEL has the nerve to tell me at the last minute they want me to open for the weekend [sic],”  she wrote. “Then @106kmel tells us at last minute if I don’t then there’s no show! Them still uses my name when I refuse! I feel so f**king disrespected.”

She also sent a message to the baby-voiced crooner who stole her shine. “No disrespect to the weekend [sic]. Why the hell would @106KMEL ask me to open for him in My home town! Where I give back! Where IM FROM! #NO”  KMEL of course offered a different story. “When we were notified a week before her performance that she planned to cancel, we immediately removed her name from all advertising and promotion and offered refunds to those fans who requested.”  Cole, who was replaced by Jeremih, has been getting some bad press as of late. In the last month or so, she’s accused BET of chopping up scenes of her reality show, Keyshia & Daniel, to make her look bad, and turned off some by announcing that she was bi-racial, and therefore hesitant about performing on Black Girls Rock! Her last album, Woman to Woman, debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard album charts selling 96,000 copies.
