Danity Kane Plan To Reunite Without Diddy

Former Bad Boy Records girl group Danity Kane is planning a reunion. The group was famously created by labelhead Sean “Diddy” Combs during the third season of MTV’s popular “Making the Band” reality series back in 2005. The group became an instant pop success, but disbanded in 2009, with Dawn Richard joining Diddy as a member of his Diddy-Dirty Money trio for 2010′s Last Train To Paris. The group wants to reunite, and TMZ reports that four of the founding members met with a new manager. D. Woods was not involved. And according to group members, Diddy won’t be involved, either.

Dawn Richards Performs “Golden Heart” For Rap Up’s “Sunset Sessions”

Dawn Richard‘s debut album Goldenheart is in stores today, and in connection with the release, she recently performed an acoustic set for Rap-Up’s new “Sunset Sessions” performance series. High above the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, the singer and her production partner Druski performed three songs, including her single “’86,” “Warfaire,” and the title track “Goldenheart,” which is Dawn’s favorite song on the album. “It’s the most personal and I recorded it a long time ago,” she said. “It was one of the first times I had gone through something so horrible that I didn’t think I would be able to come back from it. I felt like I wanted to write about a record where we were naive enough to believe we could be saved by a shining prince. It was so naive, but we felt that it was real.”
