Gucci Mane Released From Jail, Once Again

Reports TMZ:

Rapper Gucci Mane has just been released from jail in Georgia after spending nearly three weeks behind bars, TMZ has learned. As we reported, Gucci was arrested April 13th for a probation violation. He’s been in jail since. Gucci’s attorney, Drew Findling, tells us, the probation violation was triggered by a March 25th incident at an Atlanta nightclub … when Gucci allegedly bottled a clubgoer in the head, causing a massive gash. Gucci was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident. That case is still pending. He’s due in court later this month. Although earlier reports said otherwise, it was Gucci going upside a soldier’s head with a champagne bottle that was the reason for his parole violation. Coincidentally, or not, a new Gucci Mane song called “So Icey Part 2″ was released on the Internets. Thus, the “Lemonade” rapper’s release is timely considering he has new mixtape, Trap House 3, is out May 21st..

Waka Dismisses Gucci’s Impact On His Career

Waka Dismisses Gucci's Impact On His Career

Waka Flocka made a recent appearance on “The Combat Jack Show” and again made it crystal clear that he and Gucci Mane have no chance of reuniting or rekindling their friendship. And he dismissed any notion that Gucci was the launchpad for his career.

“I don’t think I’m going to see him in the streets, the sh*t I’m doing,” Waka said. “Mentor? Like, dude said, I ain’t going to go against him — I feel like nobody helped me do sh*t. Not my mama, not Gucci, my first album, Gucci ain’t even on it, period.” ”I don’t know what secret feelings that man got,” Waka said. “From my personal opinion it gotta be jealousy or envy or something. [I heard he said his Twitter got hacked?] I guess God hacked it.”

Gucci Mane & Young Scooter Are Cellmates In Atlanta Jail

For the record, jail cells are not where rappers typically connect, politic, ditto. However, it turns out that veteran Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane and up and comer Young Scooter are currently sharing the very same jail cell. MTV RapFix reports that the two trap rappers are literally cellmates at the Dekalb County Jail. LaFlare was arrested on April 12, just a day after being released on $75,000 bond after being charged with assaulting a soldier with a champagne bottle in an ATL club. The “Lemonade” rapper was picked up again for an unrelated probation violation. As for Young Scooter, born Kenneth Edward Bailey, the “Colombia” rapper, who is affiliated with Brick Squad and Freebandz, was arrested for a probation violation on April 8. Allegedly, he was caught driving with a suspended license. Earlier this year, Gucci tapped Scooter to link up with him and drop the Free Bricks 2 mixtape. Scooter’s second single, “Pass Around,” features Wale and Gucci Mane. There is no word on when either incarcerated artist will be released from the bing. Last we heard, Scooter’s Jugg House album was set to drop in July. Considering the circumstances, you can certainly expect more collaborations from these two.

Gucci Mane Arrested Again One Day After Release

Gucci Mane stays losing. Shortly after being released from prison—a grand total of one day—Gucci Mane was arrested again on Friday for a probation violation.

Reports TMZ:

Gucci Mane wastes no time … He’s back behind bars — exactly ONE DAY after being released from jail — TMZ has learned.

Mane was locked up on March 26 after allegedly assaulting a man with a bottle in an Atlanta nightclub.  A judge initially denied the rapper bail.  The judge then softened and two days ago set bail at $75,000. Good news for Mane — he was sprung from the pokey yesterday. Bad news for Mane — he was re-arrested today for a probation violation. Sorta good news for Mane — we hear Saturday is movie night in the pokey. On April 9, the “So Icey” rapper was indicted on aggravated assault charges thanks to his champagne bottle fade. Reportedly, Gucci’s re-arrest didn’t have anything to do with his assault case. Before his return to the bing, the court mandated that he remain on a 24-hour curfew at home, wear an ankle monitoring device and submit to random drug testing. A man named TJ claims to have been attacked by Gucci after asking to take a picture with him at a Philadelphia nightclub.

Despite no longer rocking with his Bricksquad buddy Waka Flocka Flame, Gucci Mane stilled dropped a few mixtapes recently, including the DJ Holiday hosted Trap Back 2 project.

Gucci Mane is currently serving time in Fulton County Jail for turning himself in after he was accused of hitting a soldier at an Atlanta nightclub. Gucci’s lawyer Drew Findling says his client plans to post bond in Fulton County. Afterwards, Gucci will be transferred to DeKalb County, where his lawyer says he has a hold placed on him. The reason is probation for a unconnected misdemeanor charge. Gucci was previously denied bond during his last hearing that made him remind behind bars. As reported by AllHipHop, “Mr. Davis has a history, we’re not going to skirt that issue,” Findling said. “That history made it difficult for him to get bond today.” The rapper was indicted on Tuesday for one count of aggravated assault. Back in March, James Lettley says he wanted to take a picture with Gucci, but was attacked in the head with a champagne bottle.

Gucci Mane Denied Bond After Turning Himself In

Gucci Mane will be in jail longer than he anticipated. A judge denied bond for the rapper who turned himself in on an arrest warrant issued over his alleged attack on a soldier. During his court appearance this morning bond was denied based on the many legal run-ins he has to his name. ”Mr. Davis has a history, we’re not going to skirt that issue, and that history made it difficult for him to get bond today,” attorney, Drew Findling, saidGucci was charged with aggravated assault for reportedly cracking a bottle over the head of the soldier who wanted to take a picture with him at an Atlanta nightclub. The assault appears to be a growing pattern for the Atlanta native who is known to fly off the handle.  He was previously ordered to shell out $60,000 to a woman he pushed out of a moving car, turned on his longtime friend, Waka Flocka Flame, by kicking him out of the Brick squad crew. In addition to the bottle-cracking debacle, a second victim has emerged accusing him of similar behavior. A man by the name of TJ claims to have been attacked by Gucci after asking for to take a picture with him at a Philly nightclub, last month.

2nd Victim Accuses Gucci Mane Of Assault

Days after an arrest warrant was issued for Gucci Mane, over his assault on a soldier, another victim has come forward. A second man now claims that he was hit by the rapper, in Philadelphia, last month. The man, who is identified only as TJ, claims to have been attacked by Gucci, two nights after he allegedly cracked a bottle over a soldier’s head for asking to take a picture with him. According to TJ, Gucci–aka Rodric Davis–punched him in the jaw. “I haven’t ever been so humiliated in my life and disrespected,” he told a local news station. After watching Gucci perform at a club in Philly, TJ went up to shake the Brick Squad leader‘s hand and caught the fade instead. “He punched me on the left side of my face, right here in the jaw, knocking off my glasses.” Because he was “totally outnumbered,” TJ decided to walk away from the altercation. He suffered a “chipped tooth in the back,” as well as “swelling on the left side.” Needless to say, TJ’s confused as to what’s going on with Gucci. “You just don’t go around hitting your fans.” The Atlanta native is known for strange behavior, which has led to numerous arrests. Two weeks ago, he tweeted that Waka Flocka Flame was kicked out of his crew, then said his Twitter account was hacked. Despite the warrant, Gucci is still on tour. He hit Indiana last Saturday (March 23), and has shows scheduled in Florida and Virginia. Police are looking to speak with him before he makes it to another state.
