Maybach Music Group Announces Young Sav As Label Vice President

Today Maybach Music Group has announced their latest addition to the executive staff of Rick Ross’ high-profile label. Kendell “Young Sav” Freeman has been appointed Vice President, after years as Mix-show Director at Def Jam Records. Sav was instrumental in the Best Of Both Offices branding, and worked closely with acts such as 2 Chainz, Jadakiss and Juelz Santana. Prior to his work at Def Jam, Sav worked at TVT Records, with a roster then including Pitbull, Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz and Ying Yang Twins.

According to a press release, he is expected to remain in New York. In a press statement, Sav reacted to the move, “I am extremely excited to embark on this new path in my career. I appreciate [Rick] Ross for noticing my grind, work ethic and giving me a major opportunity to not only be apart of this label, but also help execute his vision. It’s going to be a privilege to work with the brand and assist in taking it to the next tier. All of the artists on the roster are amazing. I’m ready to get to work.” Ross added, in his own words, “[It] feels great calling one of the hardest workers and few people I consider a close friend the new VP of MMG.” While Rick Ross currently remains a Def Jam Records artist, Maybach Music Group has a distribution deal through Atlantic Records, in the latest Warner Music Group move. MMG’s roster currently includes Meek Mill, Wale, Gunplay and Omarion, among others.

Skull Gang’s Hynief Explains Why He Hemmed Up JoJo Simmons [VIDEO]

Hynief-confronts-Jojo

Over the weekend, JoJo Simmons became the topic of conversation for all the wrong reasons when an image of him getting yoked up by Skull Gang member Hynief made it onto the Internets. Now, Hynief is explaining his side of story. Earlier this week, Simmons commented on the incident on video, forgoing any talk of retaliation to say, “All I been around is money all my life. I aint’ been around that thug or that gun sh-t all my life, that’s not what I do. What I do is I count money, and I f-ck b-tches, and I travel the world, and that’s what I do. I’m not on that violent sh-t.”  True indeed.

We’ll keep the gist of this tomfoolery to a limit by giving you a quick run down of Hynief’s commentary.

Yes, he is down with Skull Gang but he is also “doing his own thing,” which is a mixtape called No Favors, coming soon.

As he stated on Instagram, Hynief gives no f-cks who JoJo’s daddy or uncle and also doesn’t care about getting blackballed by the music industry.

Juelz didn’t sanction JoJo getting run up on, Hynief says he just reacted.

Hynief says he didn’t punch JoJo, but he did “rough the lil ni–a up a little bit.”

He does not consider himself Juelz Santana‘s “goon.” Juelz is his “brother.”

Apparently, Hynief called Juelz while simultaneously having JoJo in a headlock.

Hynief and the dudes with him in the video (the Money Island Mafia), who look like they are about that life, give no f-cks about what the Crips were saying in JoJo’s video.

Also worth noting, we still don’t know who JoJo was calling.

JoJo Simmons Gets The Paws Put On Him, Says All He Does Is “Count Money & F-ck B-tches”

Hynief-confronts-Jojo

We got a feeling JoJo Simmons doesn’t have a publicist, or at least doesn’t listen to him or her. Reverend Run’s oldest son recently got hemmed up by some Juelz Santana affiliated goons in Queens. Now, JoJo has commented on the incident, sort of. While bigging up his boy upcoming music video, JoJo was asked to address ths incident in Queens. Over the weekend, after previously dropping a Juelz Santana diss called “Holy Water” earlier in the year, one of the Harlem rapper’s Skull Gang members, Hynief, ran up on Diggy‘s brother, put the paws on him and decided to take a photo of the incident. “Guess who I caught y’all Lil punk A$$ Jo Jo that made the diss track look at his face when he ace! #facts shouldn’t pop sh-t if u not bout that life real ni–as don’t care who u related too f-ck ni–a,” read the caption of the flick on Instagram.

To his credit, Simmons didn’t fall into the trap of talking big ish now that he was surrounded by his own set of goons, a couple of who even claim to be a Crips. However, Simmons commentary wasn’t exactly “humbling” and surely the Rev would not approve of such rhetoric. “All I been around is money all my life. I aint’ been around that thug or that gun sh-t all my life, that’s not what I do,” explained JoJo What I do is I count money, and I f-ck b-tches, and I travel the world, and that’s what I do. I’m not on that violent sh-t.”

Juelz Santana Says Dipset Is "Definitely" Going To Reunite In The Studio

When news hit of a Dipset 10th Anniversary show in New York, the Hip Hop world was more than excited. Now, during an interview with Hip Hop Since 1987Juelz Santana explains why the show at B.B. Kings may not be the only reunion that fans can expect from the crew. ”We definitely going to get back in the studio and start working on some music and if the vibe is good and the music is coming out the way it’s supposed to come out. We going to put that record out,” Juelz said. The Dipset member also explained that the possible album would have to be “something close” to the first album the group dropped when they released Diplomatic Immunity in 2003. ”We’ve been talking about it, we want to do it right. The first Diplomatic Immunity album was a double-CD classic,” he said. “So if we give the people something, we got to give them something close to that.” Juelz also spoke about the March 25th anniversary show and explained that being back on the stage with his collegues feels only natural. ”It’s always good to be on stage with Cam and Jim,” he said. ”When you get on stage everything falls into place, everything feels good. I didn’t know 10 years went by so fast though, that’s a beautiful thing for us to be pushing that 10th Anniversary of Dipset, I’m proud of that. We set real high standards out there for crews so it’s a good thing.”

Juelz Santana Speaks On Being "Grateful" For Cam'ron's Help In His Career

Harlem rapper Juelz Santana may no longer be in a contract with Cam’ron and Diplomat Records, but in a recent interview with Vlad TV he revealed that despite the break-up with the label he still has a great deal of respect for Cam’ron. The former Diplomat Records artist revealed that while many things didn’t quite come to fruition, he is grateful to Cam’ron for jumpstarting his career.  “Yeah, I been out of my deal with Cam for about two years now. One thing I respect is Cam brought me to the water,” Juelz explained. “A lot of things ain’t transpire, but at the end of the day I come from nothing. I’m able to eat… Just him giving me that I would never – I gotta be so grateful for that. Things could have went better in other areas cause I was so loyal… He blueprinted that building, but I placed them bricks in there.” After expressing his thanks to the Dipset founder, Juelz spoke briefly on his first time meeting with Cam’ron. “I was actually in a group with my partner Malik,” said the rapper. “We had a group called Draft Pick. One day, make a long story short, this guy comes through in the 600 on my block. Calls me out the window, calls my mother. He look out the window, ‘Yo tell Juelz come down I got Cam in the car.’ He got Cam in the car. I come downstairs Cam’s in the car sleeping… I just start rapping. It was kinda history from there.”

(Video) Kat Stacks Goes At Juelz Santana, Juelz Responds

Kat Stacks

Kat Stacks is out of prison and at it again, well sort of. Before prison, Kat was known for putting rappers on blast for pretty much anything. She posted pics of Soulja Boy with coke and a couple of times leaked rappers’ phone numbers to the public. She seemed to be everywhere before she got nabbed and taken into custody due to immigration issues. Now that she’s out of prison, she’s going at a new rapper but not for her usual bullsh*t. Kat set aim at Juelz for a comment that he made on her Instagram and Juelz fired back on Twitter. Apparently Kat’s close friend a rumored jump-off of Juelz, Jenna Shea, caught the comment and they didn’t appreciate it. Juelz made the comment in regards to Kat getting hit by a group of men and Kat dragged Kimbella’s name into he mix. I really was hoping this chick would just fade right away after being released but it seems that this bird just won’t go away. Watch what she said to Juelz below in the video and check his response in his tweets below video.
