Jodeci Booed Off Stage During London Reunion Show [VIDEO]

Jodeci’s reunion show in London didn’t go over well. Rather then being greeted with cheers, the  crowd turned against them, booing the group, last night (March 23). The R&B foursome was part of a lineup of a ’90s group line-up that included Dru HillSWV, and Blackstreet, held at the Wembley Arena. Fans may have already been on edge thanks to the absence of member, Devante, and the remaining three’s performance didn’t help the situation.

Singersroom.com reports:

Concertgoers tell The Running Lip that Devante was a no show, so that left the remaining members K-Ci, JoJo, and Mr. Dalvin. Audience members said they were singing off key, and at one point, Mr. Dalvin jumped off stage, only to have trouble getting back on. Dru Hill had to take the stage to finish up Jodeci’s set. A fan in attendance tells The Running Lip, “They were singing the classics and everything was good until Mr. Dalvin jumped off the stage and couldn’t climb back up. Then K-Ci & JoJo took the solo and couldn’t keep it together. They missed all the notes they were singing. Dru Hill had to take over and sing their own songs for them.” Fans reportedly began to leave while the debacle took place on stage, and Twitter blew up with reactions.

After the show, K-CI & JoJo went online to thank London fans. “London thank u for having us!  And for those that support us we love u.  We commend the other groups on good show.” The bad performance was blamed on equipment issues. “The problems we had last night didn’t have anything with us. Ask wembley why we couldn’t rehearse nor proper equipment was [there].” To Jodeci’s credit, lots of singers have been booed off stage, and at least the reception wasn’t bad as what happened to Jeremih. That was far from a career high point.

Future Talks Possibility Of Recording Collaborative Mixtape With Drake

Future recently dropped his F.B.G. The Movie mixtape, touting the collaboration “Fo Real” with Drake. During an interview with Civil TV, the Atlanta, Georgia rapper said that he actually recorded two duets with Drizzy and that he ended up saving one of them for his upcoming sophomore album Future Hendrix. “It’s off the mixtape, because I also have a record that’s for my album that I really wanted to be on my album,” he said. “I just had it sitting aside for the album. It was another record, so I didn’t want to have two records with him on the album. I know this other record is in a whole other lane, it’s a lane-changer.” He also fielded a question about whether or not he would work with Drake on something more substantial, along the lines of an EP or mixtape. The “Turn On the Lights” rapper said that they would need to block off time in their schedules to record something of that nature, but that it’s a possibility, “Man, we was in the studio one time just talkinga bout the K-Ci & JoJo album,” he said. “But besides that, when we’re in the studio, we in the zone. Me and dude be in the super zone. We be on the same page. You could turn on the beat and we just find ways to build from it, and we just trying to find time to make it happen and squeeze it in there.”
