The two rap heavyweights, who collaborated on the 2011 ‘Watch The Throne’ album, haven’t seen each other in months so it’s no surprise that they couldn’t keep the smiles off their faces as they greeted each other with a huge manly embrace. Despite the large group of photographers surrounding them, the pals happily carried on with their conversation in the streets of Soho before Kanye headed off to enjoy a shopping trip with Kim.

“So we was just vibin’ and talking about how much we both are fans of each other’s work. Sometimes you gotta do that with artists. When we got to working on ‘The Morning,’ automatically that track was crazy,” he added. “I wasn’t actually there when he was doing everything else, ’cause I had to go back home to see my children at the time. So I just made it my business to get it done over there and make sure it was on deck for him.” Sway brought up the nuance that when you come in contact with West that he will tell you something about you that he likes when he meets you. ”He just was like, ‘Yo, you like one of the Greek gods in this rap game. Just one day after Lord Jamar dropped his Kanye diss called “Lift Up Your Skirt,” the Chicago-bred rapper is reportedly making the move to take all photos of him in a skirt off the internet. Kanye has allegedly ordered photograph monolith Getty Images to remove all images of him at the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert to be removed from their site. It seems inconsistent with Kanye’s prideful personality that he would want the photos taken offline, but it’s possible that he’d want them taken off for another reason.

Long before he was topping the charts with his G.O.O.D. Music clique, there was a time when Kanye West wasn’t recognized for his ability to rhyme. Now, in a recent interview with Vlad TV, one of Yeezy’s West coast collaborators Game recalled taking a L to the Chicago rapper early in his career.
Game recalled the time Kanye West beat him in a rap battle before either emcee struck it big in the industry. He said that the two met at a party that Nelly threw, and after the event wrapped up, they decided to engage in a friendly battle. Game added that he and ‘Ye went toe-to-toe for much of the battle, until Kanye pulled out all the stops in his final, battle-winning verse.
“Before The Documentary came out, Nelly had a party at Niketown, and everybody was there - Dr. Dre,Swizz [Beatz], Pharrell, a bunch of stars,” he recalled. “Me and Kanye were kinda rookies and what-not; Kanye was still servicing his beats around, I think he just had signed to Roc-a-Fella. So after the party was over, we’re walking to the parking structure, just walking [with] a bunch of chicks…and everybody was like, ‘Yo, Kanye, why don’t you battle Game? Game, why don’t battle Kanye?’ And we were just two hungry artists, so in the parking structure, [we] just took off. ‘Ye rapped first, and he spit and it was that old College Dropout Kanye, and he got off and he really did his thing.”
He continued, “I gave him probably about 40 bars, just rapping fire, and then he came and he spit like 40 bars. I took it up, and I ended up rapping for like three or four minutes…I felt like I won, and then Kanye, just out of nowhere, started going in about how I thought I was the ‘savior and watch my behavior’ – he just really started going in, and the chicks started being like, ‘Oooh, aah,’ and once the chicks start chiming in, it’s pretty much over.”

When A$AP Rocky stopped By DJ Drama’s show, the emcee and deejay had fashion on their minds. During the conversation, A$AP Rocky clarified earlier comments, acknowledging that he hates the way Lil Wayne dresses. He also went on to add that while Kanye West inspires him, you can’t tell him that he doesn’t inspire Kanye.
“I hate the way Lil Wayne dresses sometimes,” Rocky said. “The lime green Ugg boot thing? I didn’t like that but that’s his style. There’s people who probably hate the way I dress – not a lot – but a few people might hate the way I dress. That’s my style. At the end of the day, I’m not judging. They asked me my opinion, how I felt, and all I gave them was my feedback. He’s got way more money than me, way more successful so I can’t say nothing bad about him.”
He continued with fashion, saying that the inspiration between Kanye West and him has to be mutual.
“Kanye inspires me. There’s no way in hell you could tell me that I don’t inspire Kanye. Everybody, as an artist, could look at it as competition but it’s just clothes.”
