Bet you didn’t see this news on the horizon. Kid Cudi has announced his departure from G.O.O.D. Music. The “Make Em Say” rapper revealed that he wasn’t rolling with Kanye West’s team anymore during a visit to Power 106 in Los Angeles. The interview is still going down but of course the news already made it into the “BREAKING NEWS EXCLUSIVE: @ducidni announcing no longer associated with G.O.O.D. MUSIC…just now on POWER 106 LA @DJFelliFel @YesiOrtiz,” tweeted Power 106. “No drama..all good..all love still w/ @ducidni and G.O.O.D. Music…’talked to @KanyeWest and told him wanted to do my own thing..’…” Seems like Cudi covered all his bases since he also spoke to Jay-Z about his intentions beforehand. This new development will certainly get the people talking about Cudi’s forthcoming new album, Indicud. Just last night the Cleveland rapper dropped the project’s latest single, “Girls,” featuring Too $hort. Indicud is due in stores April 23. Kanye West Throws Shots At Justin Timberlake, Obama & More In London [Video]

Kanye West and rants go together like peanut butter and jelly, and once again Yeezy used the stage to vent some frustrations. While in London Saturday night, the Chicago superstar railed against the GRAMMYsJustin Timberlake‘s “Suit & Tie” single and even President Barack Obama. West was performing the first of back-to-back shows at the Hammersmith Apollo and shortly after performing the Cruel Summer single “Clique,” the G.O.O.D. Music chieftain got a few things off his chest. Graciously thanking the crowd, Kanye launched into his rant by mentioning that he owns a residence in London. But shortly after, he began to rail against the industry. “I hate business people,” said a seemingly frustrated West. “People get on the phone with me and talk to me like ‘What kind of business can it do, tho? What kind of business are you doing? What’s the numbers? How much did you sell?’” After a few moments of that, West started to dig in. “Remind me again why we in this sh-t? / Remind me why the GRAMMYs can suck my d-ck,” he crooned in a sing-song freestyle. “Remind me again who’s the original Superfly/And I got love for Hov but I ain’t f-ckin’ with that ‘Suit & Tie.’” West threw shots at corporate sponsors as well, just before having what appears to be a bit of meltdown. Mentioning the loss of his mother in an especially emotional moment, West then said, “I don’t give a f-ck what the President has to say” before going on to some other choice words. It seemed like Kanye West was working something out with himself onstage, and may have destroyed some endorsement opportunities for himself in the process as well. Check out the onstage rant in the video clip courtesy of TeamKanyeDaily below.

Game Recalls Losing To Kanye West In A Rap Battle

Game Recalls Losing To Kanye West In A Rap Battle

Long before he was topping the charts with his G.O.O.D. Music clique, there was a time when Kanye West wasn’t recognized for his ability to rhyme. Now, in a recent interview with Vlad TV, one of Yeezy’s West coast collaborators Game recalled taking a L to the Chicago rapper early in his career.

Game recalled the time Kanye West beat him in a rap battle before either emcee struck it big in the industry. He said that the two met at a party that Nelly threw, and after the event wrapped up, they decided to engage in a friendly battle. Game added that he and ‘Ye went toe-to-toe for much of the battle, until Kanye pulled out all the stops in his final, battle-winning verse.

“Before The Documentary came out, Nelly had a party at Niketown, and everybody was there - Dr. Dre,Swizz [Beatz]Pharrell, a bunch of stars,” he recalled. “Me and Kanye were kinda rookies and what-not; Kanye was still servicing his beats around, I think he just had signed to Roc-a-Fella. So after the party was over, we’re walking to the parking structure, just walking [with] a bunch of chicks…and everybody was like, ‘Yo, Kanye, why don’t you battle Game? Game, why don’t battle Kanye?’ And we were just two hungry artists, so in the parking structure, [we] just took off. ‘Ye rapped first, and he spit and it was that old College Dropout Kanye, and he got off and he really did his thing.”

He continued, “I gave him probably about 40 bars, just rapping fire, and then he came and he spit like 40 bars. I took it up, and I ended up rapping for like three or four minutes…I felt like I won, and then Kanye, just out of nowhere, started going in about how I thought I was the ‘savior and watch my behavior’ – he just really started going in, and the chicks started being like, ‘Oooh, aah,’ and once the chicks start chiming in, it’s pretty much over.”
