To promote his upcoming movie Luv, Common stopped by “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” and revealed that he’s got a busy 2013 in the works. When asked about his upcoming music projects, the Chi-town native said that he plans to drop an EP to accompany the film by the end of January, followed by his first-ever mixtape in April and then an album in September. ”I’m coming out with an EP at the end of this month that’s accompanying the movie Luv, and then I’ve got a mixtape – the first mixtape I’ve ever done in my life – will be coming out in April,” he said. “And then an album in September.” In September, the veteran emcee announced that he planned to drop his tenth album in January 2013, stating that he was going to work with No I.D. and hoped to collaborate with Kanye West. via:hiphopdx

The Roots‘ ?uestlove announced earlier this summer that the crew was at work on its thirteenth studio album&TYSYC, which serves as the follow up to last year’sundun. Now, fans might have to wait a bit longer for the next project. During an interview with Hip Hollywood, ?uestlove announced that the LP will now drop in late 2013. “You’re gonna get a new Roots album late 2013,” he confirmed. In 2010, the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania group released its tenth album How I Got Over, following with Wake Up Sessions and undun in 2011.
