Usher’s EX-Nanny SUES For Unpaid Overtime

Usher’s former nanny is suing the star for allegedly unfairly firing her and failing to pay her wages. Cecilia Duncan is said to be seeking a six figure payout after filing her lawsuit against the singer. According to the lawsuit, Cecilia felt like she was being overworked without being paid overtime … and expressed her concerns to Usher in 2011 that she was being shafted. Cecilia says Usher ignored her complaints for more than a year … and finally fired her ass last September without paying her overtime money. The disgruntled former employee is claiming for wrongful termination, failure to pay wages, and more. Sources close to the lawsuit told the website the figure she wants is in the six-figure range.

Nas' Attorney Requests That A $10 Million Lawsuit Against The Rapper Be Dropped

It’s been close to a year and a half since Queensbridge lyricist Nas’ missed appearance at a December 2011 show in Angola resulted in the capture of a concert promoter and his son, and the rapper is still facing legal woes surrounding the kidnapping of the two men. According to NJ.com, Nas’ attorney has requested that a judge throw out a $10 million lawsuit the promoter, Allgood Entertainment’s Patrick Allocco, filed last year. The attorney for the rapper stated that any money Nas received from Allocco was eventually returned to the promoter and on top of that Allocco previously revealed that he wouldn’t sue the rapper once he was repaid his $300,000. It’s unclear what exactly the $10 million requested in the lawsuit covers, but Allocco’s lawsuit does make mention of various financial losses, physical trauma, and even his son’s post-traumatic stress disorder. Allocco and his son were kidnapped in Angola in late 2011 by employees of concert promoter Henrique “Riquhino” Miguel after Nas was a no-show at a New Year’s Eve concert he was scheduled to perform at in the country. When questioned about the incident during an interview last year, Nas revealed that proper travel arrangements were never made and he didn’t receive his $300,000 until after he would have traveled to Angola.

Tyler Perry SUED Again; Writer Claims Perry Stole “Temptation” Idea From Him

Tyler Perry has been sued AGAIN for apparently ‘stealing’ someone’s story-line… An Indiana man who says that he was the first person to ever write a story about a woman cheating on her husband. Writer William James of Gary, Indiana, filed a lawsuit against Perry in U.S. District Court in Indiana on Wednesday, which claims that Perry’s 2013 film Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor is a complete rip-off of his 2009 screenplay Lovers Kill. According to the lawsuit, James’ script and Perry’s film involve a marriage that is ruined after the wife has an affair. But, isn’t this like everyday life?? I thought Perry, adapted this film after his play “The Marriage Counselor“?

But still James says that he passed a copy of his script through the right channels hoping that somewhere down the line it would get to Perry’s desk. It’s unclear whether or not it ever did. In any case, James is seeking unspecified damages that include an edit to Temptation’s opening and closing credits. If he wins, it will read “Based on the Novel ‘Lovers Kill’ by William James.” Ouch. It’s doubtful that James will win his lawsuit, but even if he does, it’s not like Temptation has been the runaway success train he’d want to hitch his cart to anyway. It hasn’t done very well with critics, but with $49 million at the box office, it has been a modest financial success. Perry’s people have not yet commented on the lawsuit.

Kim Porter Called An Unfit Mother

Diddy might want to go check on his young twin daughters. A new lawsuit is alleging Diddy’s baby momma Kim Porter is an unfit mother and does drugs in front of her children. Kim Porter’s former nanny Dawn Drago between 2011 and 2012. Drago alleges Porter was verbally and physically abusive towards her during her time of employment. It’s also being said that Kim Porter has a penchant for using drugs out in the open with no shame or remorse. Kim Porter supposedly would smoke weed as if she were a character straight out of the stoner comedy “Friday.” Dawn Drago also alleges that weed wasn’t the only substance Kim Porter abused. According to Drago, Porter enjoys indulging in a little bit of nose candy aka cocaine. Drago says Porter kepot so much nose candy around that the young twins got into “a bag containing the powder, along with clear capsules, filled with another powdery substance in a bag in the back seat.” Once Drago said something to Porter about the incident, Porter claimed that the bag contained her “medicine.” Dawn Drago says she was fired after she continuously complained about the overwhelming smell of weed and is suing for unspecified damages. As of now, neither Diddy or Kim Porter have made any comment or responded to the lawsuit ion court.

Knicks Guard J.R. Smith Ordered To Pay $48K For Black Jesus Pieces

J.R. Smith needs to pay his bills. The Knicks guard has been ordered to pay $48,000 for a pair of Black Jesus pieces and other jewelry. It’s not a bill collector telling Smith to pay up, it’s a judge.

Don’t mess with Black Jesus … or YOU WILL PAY … just ask Knicks stud J.R. Smith, whose A$$ just lost a $48,000 lawsuit involving a diamond necklace that features an Afro-American rendition of the messiah. A jewelry company called Lemmerman’s sued Smith, claiming he ordered a bunch of bling back in 2010 — including a diamond chain, two Black Jesus pendants and some earrings — totaling $25,500 … but never paid. We’re told one Jesus pendant and chain cost roughly $15,000 alone. Lemmerman’s sued for $48,101 — which includes the jewelry bill plus interest and attorney’s fees — but Smith never responded to the suit … so a judge ruled in Lemmerman’s favor. Smith has now been ordered to pay the $48,000 asap … or else. Calls to Smith’s people weren’t returned.

Chris Brown’s ‘Bodyguard’ Is Suing Drake For Club Brawl

Chris Brown’s bodyguard is suing Drake and the  New York City SoHo nightclub where the hip-hop stars brawled last June. Patrick Strickland filed suit against Drake and the owners of the W.i.P. club in SoHo in Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday. He claims the nightspot’s owners are responsible for the head injury he sustained during a brawl between the two stars’ entourages because they sat the two parties next to each other, despite employees knowing there was tension between the rival groups. The seating arrangement created “a substantial and unjustifiable risk that a mass altercation would occur between the two camps,” the suit for an unspecified amount of  damages states. Moreover, the club over-served Drake and his posse, and had an employee hand Brown a note from Drake that read: “I’m f–king the love of your life,” according to the Strickland suit.  It’s so crazy, because Brown and Drake are suing each other over the fight, while basketball star Tony Parker is suing the nighclub owners for his injuires.

Kandi Burruss Sues Kim Zolciak Over “Tardy For The Party” Song

Well it looks like Kandi Burruss has finally came to her senses, and to sue Kim Zolciak over “Tardy For The Party” song. According to AJC, Burruss and Rodney Richards (aka Don Vito – co-writer of ‘Tardy for the Party”) filed the lawsuit Tuesday in the United States District Court of the Northern District of Georgia seeking damages from Zolciak.  The song, in which Zolciak’s daughter Brielle gets songwriting credit, sold 102,000 copies, the lawsuit said.
