50 Cent Open For G-Unit Reunion

MTV Studios

In previously interviews, Curtis said a G-Unit reunion was unlikely. But during his First Take taping yesterday, he sat with ESPN and says he considers linking back with Banks and Yayo.

What about a reunion of G-Unit?

The original G-Unit, maybe. We might do something. I’ll be honest with you. Some of these new artists on the label I don’t think are working as hard as they could. I don’t know how hard they want to work or how much they want it. I could see the original coming back together though.

50 Cent Dismisses Game’s G-Unit Reunion Petition, Says They Will Not Get Back Together

50 Cent Dismisses Game's G-Unit Reunion Petition, Says They Will Not Get Back Together
50 Cent addresses Game‘s online petition to get G-Unit back together.

After Game launched an online petition for a G-Unit reunion, 50 Cent has responded by stating that he has no interest in getting the group back together. During an interview with The Boombox (via HHNM), Fif echoed earlier statements that a G-Unit reunion was unlikely. “You’re not gonna get nothing back together,” he said. “I decide that. I do what I want to do. I don’t give a fuck what they talking about on a blog post.” 50 said that Game’s petition was just a publicity stunt and that every time he cools off, he brings up his former ally. “Every time there was nothing going on [Game] said ‘Fuck you, 50,’ to generate some sort of new interest,” he said. “But now that doesn’t work anymore. So you gotta figure out a new way to do it. And now it’s saying, ‘We’ll get G-Unit back together!’” Talks of a G-Unit reunion have been circling for the past few weeks. Early last month, 50 said that there was a “strong possibility” that he, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo would join forces again. Game’s manager Dontay “Taydoe” Kidd revealed that they were working on getting the group back together, though 50 later recanted his earlier statement and said that it “probably [would] not” happen.

The Game Promotes Online Petition For A G-Unit Reunion?

The Game is taking his hope for a G-Unit reunion very seriously. The Compton rapper has been promoting a petition to get the old musical gang back together again. Maybe. Numerous post have been made to the “Hate It Or Love It” rapper’s official Facebook promotion the petition, including:

Is there a G Unit Reunion gonna happen in 2013??? Let’s see how many signatures we get!

However, there are no such messages on Game’s Twitter account. At the time of this post, the petition has over 5,500 signatures. It hopes all the fan support will urge the entire G-Unit collective—50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck and the Game—to “make it happen.” Part of the petition’s message reads:

“They delivered some of the best hip hop songs the world has ever heard, since then the group have collapsed with both The Game & Young Buck no longer part of this once heavyweight group. It’s about time we gave the world what they want, a ‘Reunion’, there is no doubt that if the group reformed they would smash their way to the top again.”

G-Unit’s founder, 50 Cent, probably ain’t hearing it, though. After hinting at the possibility of a reunion a few weeks ago, Ferrari seems to have already changed his mind. ”Probably not,” was his response when asked about G-Unit’s return on Sirius Hip Hop Nation show, Ear Candy Mornings, earlier this week.

“You have people that grow in different directions,” added Fif. “If you have grown men involved in business transactions who are around each other, surrounded by the same thing…I’ve offered everything that I could offer to G-Unit, I allowed them to be in front of my audience the entire time, develop their own fan base and have people recognize their attributes and their defects at that point, so what do you do?”

50 Cent Says G-Unit Reunion Is Unlikely

50 Cent Says G-Unit Reunion Is Unlikely

50 Cent doesn’t think he, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo are linking up again anytime soon.

Completely contrary to what he said just weeks ago, 50 Cent says a reunion with Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo to form G-Unit probably won’t happen. ”Probably not,” admitted Fif in an interview with Ear Candy Mornings on Sirius Hip-Hop Nation. “I don’t know. You have people that go in different directions. ”If you have grown men involved in business transactions who are around each other… I’ve offered everything I could offer to G-Unit,” he continued. “I allowed them to be in front of an audience the entire time, to develop their own fan base, to recognize their attributes and their defects at that point. What do you do?” ”I don’t care what other people want. I give a fuck what they want,” concluded 50 bluntly. “A reunion? You can kiss my motherfucking ass as far as that’s concerned.”
