In a move that surprised almost nobody, Vado has confirmed that he is signing to DJ Khaled‘s We The Best Music Group. The Harlem rapper who was previously signed to Interscope Records confirmed to This Is 50, the same website that put footage of Khaled’s mother on the internet, that he will be joining We The Best. He will be joining such acts as Ace Hood and Mavado. “It’s going down man it’s about to be on and crazy,” Vado told Jack Thriller in a sit down. “Everybody got the word in and [Khaled] reached out ASAP. So of course, you know we got the same vision and that’s to take over and go straight to the top and stay there. And he want to get me there, and I’m gonna let him.” While rumors circulated that Drake’s newly launched OVO Records and T.I.’s Grand Hustle all reached out in attempts to sign Vado, it looks like Khaled had the inside track to the rapper during the entire courting process. Call us suckers, but it might seem that Vado had signed to Khaled all along and the rumors of a bidding war might have been drummed up to cause a buzz, but nobody would make that up, would they? Of course not.
