Jennifer Lopez was whisked off the set of a music video shoot in Ft. Lauderdale this weekend after three gunshots were heard. Her boyfriend Casper Smart walked her to a nearby trailer. According to reports, the incident occurred near Ft. Lauderdale Beach Park while Lopez and rapper Pitbull were shooting the video in the southern end of the park. Security officials said that Lopez was “secured inside her vehicle.” But an “ET” reporter says he was interviewing the star when the shots were fired. “Security scrambled her away,” claimed the reporter. Ever since Baauer’s catchy electronic dance tune “Harlem Shake” turned into this insane do-it-yourself phenomenon, there have been 4000 versions of the video uploaded every day. Four Thousand! All following the same formula…intro music with one guy pelvic thrusting while the rest of the room ignores him, then when the beat drops, cut to a chaotic scene where everyone is dancing and raving. And done. Youtube views smorgasbord! There’s a Firefighter Harlem Shake, and a Today ShowHarlem Shake, and countless college Harlem Shakes, office Harlem Shakes, porn star Harlem Shakes, even the Hot97 in-studio Harlem Shake…You know the only thing missing from the Harlem Shake videos? Actual Harlem Shaking. Oh yeah…remember that little wobbly dance craze that was all the rage in the early 2000′s when it appeared in various Bad Boy music videos? One of the few dance fads that was best done by kids under the age of 16. Something about loose connective tissue perhaps. Well, the Baauer song and viral meme is not about that Harlem dance. Sorry G.Dep. And when Shlepp Films went to Harlem to see if the streets are “con los terroristas” with the rest of the “Harlem Shake” fanatics….the answer was a big fat no.

50 Cent addresses rumors that Gunplay’s MMG chain made a cameo appearance in his latest music video.
Even though fans will have to wait until the spring before50 Cent releases his long-awaited Street King Immortal, that isn’t keeping the G-Unit general out of the headlines. Now, in a recent interview with MTV, Fif discusses the appearance of a solitary Maybach Music Group chain in his latest video, “Major Distribution.” Although rumors are circulating that the MMG pendant in question is the same chain Fif’s entourage snatched fromGunplay during their scuffle at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards, 50 said that the chain actually came from a jeweler. He explained that he wanted to include the chain in the video to shock viewers. ”It came from a jeweler. Jewelers, they made it. Yeah, we got it and ended up putting it in the video. That’s what rappers do: Rappers put jewelry in videos,” he said. ”I thought it would be unexpected, like when you see A$AP [Rocky] with a Death Row hat on. It’s cool, it’s interesting. You look and say, ‘Wait, something is out of place’…[but the] rumors today, you can’t believe everything you hear on the Internet. It’s crazy.”
