The line-up for the tenth annual Rock The Bells tour was announced on Tuesday May 14th and two names have been making more news than many of the other performers on the bill. And they’re dead. Following in the footsteps of Tupac Shakur’s virtual performance at Coachella in  2012, the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Eazy-E will be taking the stage as holograms this summer. ODB will be coming out during theWu-Tang Clan’s set and Eazy-E will be keeping it gangsta with Bone Thugs N Harmony. The company responsible for the Tupac Shakur hologram, Digital Domain Media Group Inc., filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last year, so it is unclear who will be creating the ODB and Eazy-E projections. The Tupac hologram was rumored to have cost between $100,000 and $400,000 to create. Watch the performance from Coachella below.

8 Years Later: Raekwon & Ghostface Killah Speak On ODB’s DEATH

Today marks the eight year anniversary of the death of Wu-Tang member Ol’ Dirty B-stard.

In recognizing the life and death of their friend, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah spoke with TMZ about how they commemorate the day.

“Today I just want to have a day of prayer to let my brother know I am thinking about him, said Rae. “This still hits me real hard. I will mourn over him today and  think about how much he taught me.

Ghostface however doesn’t look at the anniversary as a call for sadness. “I never dwell on the day we lost him, I just celebrate the times I had with him.

“I pray and thank God on this day because he is my angel … I spent the day just sitting quietly and praying. Dirt wouldnt want us mourning, so I don’t.

Born, Russell Tyrone Jones, ODB collapsed two days before his birthday, while at RZA‘s recording studio in New York City. He was pronounced dead thirty minutes later.

An autopsy report concluded that the New York native died from an accidental drug overdose brought on by a lethal mixture of cocaine and the prescription pain reliever, Tramadol.
