When Machine Gun Kelly came to Pittsburgh, Jenesis Magazine got a chance to chill with him and speak on what irritates him about fans coming backstage, what a date with MGK would be like, what he would do if he could go Grand Theft Auto Style in Delaware, and a special unheard tour story consisting of Rick Ross‘ bathroom.
“Donald Trump” marks Mac’s first platinum award. The song was certified gold in the closing days of 2011. Its namesake, investor and politician Donald Trump threatened, via Twitter, to sue the emcee/producer earlier this year, asking for many in lieu of the gold plaque. He also referred to the rapper as “Little Mac Miller” repeatedly. Miller responded via Twitter that he did not “want ti put any more negative energy into the world,” and asked the Trump Towers founder to “be friends.” Previously, in mid-2011, a supportive Trump branded Mac, “the next Eminem.”
Clearly a wedding ring would not suffice. As if having a baby together wasn’t enough, Amber Rose did something to letWiz Khalifa know it, their love for each other (we assume), is very, very real. She got a tattoo of the Pittsburghrapper‘s face on her arm. Rose revealed the tat on Instagram, with the caption “True Love #Cam&Amb .” The image of the “Work Hard Play Hard” rapper’s smiling face appears to be below another tattoo of a pair of dogs that she has on her left upper arm/shoulder area. The same arm was tat free less than a month ago. The ink was hooked up by tattoo artist Bobby Serna, who Rose has bigged up on social media before.
Donald Trump is singing a different tune about Mac Miller‘s song “Donald Trump,” which he previously praised.
Donald Trump has threatened legal action against Mac Miller over his gold-certified song “Donald Trump.” The business tycoon took to Twitter earlier today to blast the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvaniarapper, defying earlier statements that he was “proud of him” and that he is the “new Eminem.” “Little @macmiller, you illegally used my name for your song ‘Donald Trump’ which now has over 75 million hits,” he wrote. “Little @macmiller, I want the money not the plaque you gave me! Little @macmiller, I’m now going to teach you a big boy lesson about lawsuits and finance. You ungrateful dog! Little @macmiller—I have more hair than you do and there’s a slight age difference.” Trump, known for his Twitter antics, previously praised Mac for the song back in August 2011. “A lot of people are calling me about the Mac Miller rap song. Now, it’s named ‘Donald Trump.’ Maybe you should pay me a lot of money, but it just did over 20 million people, tuning into Mac Miller,” he said. “So in one way, I’m proud of him. I haven’t actually seen the language, it’s a little hard to understand on the song itself. Probably, it’s not the cleanest language you’ve ever heard, but this kid is the new Eminem. Everybody says he’s fantastic. Let’s see what it is. But the ‘Donald Trump’ song just hit over 20 million, that’s not so bad. I’m very proud of him.” Miller later responded, “I was just excited that I’ve reached a level where someone like that, I’m on their radar. I’m ‘bout to hit him to borrow the jet real quick.” The rapper is yet to speak on the matter. He recently settled a $10 million lawsuit from Lord Finesse over copyright infringement.
2 Chainz’ B.O.A.T.S. tour rolled into Wiz Khalifa’s neck of the woods last night at the Show AE. Of course, it was only right that Tity Boi bring out Wiz for their collabo “It’s Nothing”.
In March 2011, Mac Miller and Jazzy Jeffrevealed that they were eyeing a summer release for a collaborative mixtape titled ’92 Til Infinity, a project that’s been stalled ever since. But now, the tape is back on track, with the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania rapper confirming that it will drop in early 2013.
During an interview with The Well Versed, Mac said that the project will no longer be him rapping over old beats from established producers due to his lawsuit from Lord Finesse. Instead, he will enlist original production from veteran producers and unleash the project at the top of the year.
“Yea, it’s still happening. We’ve got a date for it, It’s really dope,” he said. “The proejct is called ’92 to Infinity. It’s a play on Souls of Mischief‘s ”93 Til Infinity.’ That song, it was a great song. Basically, I just wanted to team up with someone who’s such a respected veteran. Jeff, still to this day, is one of the greatest DJs of all time, just to see him live. There’s not many people who can put on a better live show than Jazzy Jeff as a DJ.
