LL Cool J Authentic Hip Hop Cover

LL plants his flag for the rap pioneers on the front display of his 14th album, Authentic Hip Hop. Set for a February release, Mr. Smith tells Essence:

“I’m not trying to compete with 17-year-olds on the radio, but I am talking directly to the folks who came up with me. We may not be teenagers anymore, but we do still like to have fun.”

New Music: LL Cool J Featuring Joe “Take It”

LL Cool J left many of us disappointing when he released a new song called ‘Ratchet‘ which came with an announcement that his next album is titled Authentic Hip Hop. Apart from the fact that the title was nothing “authentic”, especially coming from a legend like Cool James, the song was itself shallow.

LL turns things around with the second taste off his forthcoming CD, a collaboration with two veterans — singer Joe and production duo The Trackmasters. He gave the green light to a few radio stations this week to play the song and here it is in CD quality. This is more like it!…by Navjosh
