After going platinum two weeks ago, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ single “Thrift Shop” is now the number one song in the United States of America. Domestically, the record is the first independent rap song to hit the top spot. The last Seattle rapper to go number one was Sir Mix A Lot’s “Baby Got Back”  back in ’92. Congratulations to the entire Shark Face Gang!
