South Side rapper Lil Reese was caught sleeping in a car early Sunday and arrested on a warrant. The arrest warrant was issued Friday in Champaign County for Lil Reese, 20, whose birth name is Tavares Taylor. He was arrested about 4 a.m. Sunday in the 4400 block of South Wells Street after a police officer on patrol saw him sleeping in a vehicle, according to Cook County court documents.

The arrest warrant issued Thursday is connected to charges of criminal trespass to a residence with persons present, mob action and battery that allegedly took place in February 2012, according to the Champaign County Circuit Clerk‘s website and Cook County court documents. Officials at the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office would not give further information about the charges Sunday, saying they could not comment because Taylor is not in their custody. Taylor was being held in lieu of a $100,000 bail Sunday.

Free Tyler The Creator Show Almost Causes Riot In Colorado [PHOTOS]

The Fox Riot

The words Tyler, the Creator and “free concert” can lead to trouble. The Odd Future frontman’s show at the Fox Theater in Boulder, Co. almost lead to riot before he even hit the stage. Entrance to Monday night‘s  (March 10) Tumblr sponsored show in the University Hill neighborhood was free. However, by as early as 3 p.m., hundreds of fans were already lining up to get into the show that was scheduled to start at 8 p.m.. The Daily Camera reports that around 6 p.m. Boulder authorities were called in to deal with a “riot situation” thanks to an increasingly unruly crowd. Reportedly 80 officers from the Boulder Police Department, University of Colorado Police Department and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office were called in for crowd control. They came ready, as some of the officers seen in the photos (see the gallery) are wearing riot gear. Officers also closed off streets and dealt with relatively minor incidents of violence. Despite the alleged riot, only two arrests were made. The “Yonkers” rapper added a second show to the bill to allow more fans to get to see him perform considering that the Fox Theater only holds 625 people. That was nice of him. Tyler, the Creator’ new album, Wolf, is due in stores April 2.
