Bobby Brown Serves Nine Hours In Jail

Bobby Brown Serves Nine Hour Jail Time

Being a celebrity definitely has its perks especially when it comes to serving jail time for DUIs. The original bad boy of R&B Bobby Brown served a mere nine hours in jail stemming from his latest DUI arrest. The initial sentence was for Brown to be in jail for 55 days. Bobby Brown turned himself on Wednesday at 9:58 in the morning and was free again around 7pm that night. As usual, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office is saying the reason Brown was released so fast is due to extreme overcrowding. What’s funny about the overcrowding excuse is the Sheriff’s Office said Bobby Brown would serve no less than nine days behind bars. The singer was arrested back in October after he was spotted driving erratically. Brown plead no contest driving with a suspended license and to the DUI charge. In conjunction with his jail sentence, Brown will be on probation for four years and must attend alcohol education classes for a year and a half. Bobby Brown is proof that escaping addiction is one of the hardest things ever. But how many DUI arrests is it going to take for him to really get his life back in order? Probably never if he keeps getting sprung from jail in nine hours.

FBI Release Files Revealing Whitney Houston Stalker Letters & Extortion Plot

Whitney Houston FBI Files

Being a pop legend has its many ups and downs. While the world loves and adores your talent and the image they have of you, some people tend to take that love and adoration to an extreme level. Whitney Houston dealt with that at the height of her career. A year after her death, the FBI has released files showing that Houston was the target of an extortion plot and she had a serious stalker situation on her hands.

In the 128 page file spanning from 1988 to 1992, the FBI revealed Whitney Houston had an overzealous fan who constantly wrote handwritten letters detailing his undying love for the “I Will Always Love You” singer. The fan begged and pleaded for a meeting with Houston to no avail and always ended his letters telling her to “keep smiling.” As he attended more and more concerts, his desperation to meet Houston continued to grow. Finally reaching his breaking point, the fan wrote, “I might hurt someone with some crazy idea and not realize how stupid an idea it was until after it was done.” Overall, this fan wrote in excess of 70 letters. All of which were ignored by the Houston camp.

The FBI files also revealed that Houston was a victim of an extortion plot. A woman claimed she had compromising information about the Grammy Award winner’s personal life and relationships. The woman threatened Houston she would leak the information to the public if she wasn’t paid. At first, the asking price was $100,000. However, it jumped up to $250,000 a short time later. Before she died in February 2012, Houston admitted she knew the woman attempting to blackmail her and had her father send the woman money to keep her quiet.

Bobby Brown Sentenced To 55 Days In Jail After 3rd DUI

In news that will surprise no one, Bobby Brown is heading to jail. The late Whitney Houston’s ex-husband has been sentenced to 55 days in the bing thanks to yet another DUI arrest back in Oct. 2012.

TMZ reports:

TMZ broke the story … Brown was arrested in October after cops pulled the singer over for driving erratically, and smelled alcohol in his ride. Bobby was charged with DUI and driving on a suspended license following the incident. (Brown’s license had been suspended as a result of his previous DUI conviction in 2012. Bobby was also convicted of DUI in 1996.) Bobby pled no contest to the charges today. He was sentenced to the jail time, plus 4 years probation. He was also ordered to complete an 18-month alcohol program. This is Bobby’s third DUI conviction. Bobby has to turn himself in to jail by March 20 — and has been ordered to attend 3 AA meetings per week until then.

The struggle is real, Bobby. But the “My Prerogative” singer better thank his lucky stars that no one was killed while he was drinking and driving. On a semi-related note, back in December, Rihanna allegedly compared her and Chris Brown’s relationship to Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston’s. She may want to re-think that. As for Mr. Bobby Brown, the older one, instead of clowning the former New Edition member, we sincerely hope that he gets his life together.

Famed Record Executive Clive Davis Comes Out The Closet In New Memoir

Legendary record executive, producer and Rock-and-Roll Hall Of Famer, Clive Davis, comes out of the closet in his new memoir, Soundtrack to My Life.

The man who is responsible for bringing the world such acts as Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Carlos Santana, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis and Jennifer Hudson reveals that after a period of  ”soul searching and self-analysis,” Davis separated from his second wife in 1985, and says that he went on to have simultaneous relationships with two women and a man.

Via Rolling Stone:

In a candid five-page section toward the end of the book, due in stores today, he writes that he first had a s*xual encounter with a man during “the era of Studio 54.” “On this night, after imbibing enough alcohol, I was open to responding to his s*xual overtures,” writes Davis, who says he had only been with women before. Being with a man, he writes, provided “welcome relief.”

Davis went on to reveal that he entered a monogamous relationship with a male doctor in 1990 that lasted until 2004.  Since that relationship ended, he’s been in a relationship with another man to this day. The multiple-time Grammy winner says that his relationship with one of his sons, Mitchell, was deeply affected after he came out to him but worked out their differences after one “very trying year.” The book serves as an overdue sequel to his 1975 memoir, Clive: Inside the Record Business.

BeBe Winans: Don’t Blame Bobby Brown

bebe-bobby-whitney

Apparently not enough of you all out there are buying BeBe Winans book about Whitney Houston, so he has released another excerpt in order to entice you to stop playing and add his literary work to your Kindle, iPad, or I don’t know, hands. Whatever, the excerpt has BeBe saying “Don’t Blame Bobby Brown” for Whitney’s problems. Yeah, that’s a familiar story arc, but look, he knew them so run with it, okay?

Here goes the excerpt courtesy of Rhymes With Snitch:

“Whitney never blamed Bobby for her troubles. Neither should we. I know Bobby. I knew him even before he and Whitney began seeing each other. Like any big brother, I had my concerns about the two of them together.”
“You don’t want just anyone to take your sister in marriage. You set high, high, high expectations. The bar sits in the stratosphere regarding who you’re willing to let through the gate. Several of us close to Whitney felt the same way; this was no secret. “But it’s also unfair and inaccurate for anyone to claim that Bobby ruined Whitney the moment they started hanging out…”

“My words here are not meant to diminish Bobby in any way. I simply thought that he and Whitney were unequally yoked. I felt they would be great as friends, but not as husband and wife. Whitney knew I didn’t approve of their relationship early on.”
